Christmas Program, December 2010

Christmas is a great time available for us believers to share the gospel with our friends, neighbors and
others. So for the year 2010, Trivandrum ICEU decided to make full use of the opportunity. As part of the outreach, we were able to reach out to certain colleges, and organize carol programs in public places and restaurants.

On the 21st evening, we were able to organize a program at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Trivandrum. It was included in the cultural programs held in that evening as part of an International Conference. The group sang a few carols and distributed Christmas messages among the delegates.

In the following days, the Trivandrum ICEU Carol Team visited few colleges. In the Marian Engineering College, Kazhakuttom we were given 30 minutes in between their Christmas celebrations. It was a great opportunity to share the gospel with all the students assembled there.

Other colleges where the group visited include UIT Kuravankonam, University College, Karyavattom, Mohandas College of Engineering, Nedumangad and College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

Outreach programmes were conducted at Shangumughom Beach on the 24th and 25th evenings. It gave us an opportunity to share the good news with a wide range of people. The group was also given an opportunity for Carol Singing at the Ambrosia Bake House and Café Coffee Day – two well-known hangouts among youngsters in Thiruvananthapuram.

We are grateful to God for enabling us to conduct these programs. It all started when we designed a Christmas Greeting Card/Tract. God led us to think beyond just ‘tract distribution’ and these programs were conceived. Each small step that we take for God is important. We request your prayers that our efforts may bear fruits in the days to come.
